I envision becoming a performer. Several of my mentors and friends have outlined realistic career balance for young musicians. It includes preparing for session work, commercial work and music instruction in addition to performing either my own work or covering other people’s music. I am open to all of this.
Meanwhile, I might add that some of my current musical inspiration comes from Alan Holdsworth, Steve Vai, Frank Zappa, Dweezil Zappa, anything John Frusciante (including his electronic releases), George Benson, Herbie Hancock, and the Isley Brothers. And the list goes on.

“I want to make music. That might sound simple, but it has to happen. I need to be able to pursue my love of music; to put down the melodies in my head and play them. Instrumentally, my goal is to get to a point where I can play anything that I’ve imagined in my mind, successfully. I need to be able to exhaust energy and emotion into my instrument effortlessly.
For my career goals, I definitely want to pursue music education and teaching the next generation of musicians. I’m also very motivated as a session guitarist. One of my instructors is currently under contract composing lines over lyrics. This seems like an incredibly rewarding task which I would welcome. I’m motivated to write rock ‘n roll articles as a freelancer.
As a performer I want to make jazz and fusion music. When people think of the word fusion in music, they imagine a nice jazz- fusion band, maybe Mahavishu Orchestra or Cassiopeia. And I love that. But, I don’t want to limit myself to jazz and rock ideas. I like to include everything, it’s all on the table. So when I say fusion, I mean throwing everything in. If you like it, you don’t have to second guess yourself. I enjoy being part of ‘The Quintuplets’ fusion band and we try out as many ideas as possible. I’d like that band to perform in multiple venues around town. I have a dream of playing at The Hollywood Bowl. It’s a truly magical place. I don’t have to be the front man; I can play rhythm. I just want that experience!”
